80 years of operating history

INVERSIONES PERENCA is the holding company of the Pérez Rendiles family — long-term investors and operators with a proven track record across consumer products, telecommunications, industrial manufacturing, and automotive distribution.

Over multiple generations, PERENCA-related companies have partnered with global brands to build nationwide platforms in Venezuela, achieving market leadership and operational scale. Several of these businesses were successfully scaled and exited, delivering institutional-grade outcomes.

This history reflects a consistent ability to build, operate, and create value in challenging and evolving markets.

The group’s roots are deeply connected to the development of large-scale industrial and commercial enterprises that played a formative role in the Venezuelan economy throughout the 20th century.

From early consumer goods manufacturing and nationwide bottling operations to telecommunications, automotive distribution, and industrial production, PERENCA-related entities have consistently focused on long-term value creation, operational excellence, and disciplined governance.

Track Record

Pepsi-Cola Venezuela

PERENCA-related entities were founding bottlers and long-term shareholders of Pepsi-Cola Venezuela, beginning in 1939. Through sustained investment in production capacity, logistics, branding, and distribution, Pepsi-Cola Venezuela achieved approximately 85–89% national market share, becoming one of the most dominant soft drink franchises globally.

The business operated a nationwide network of bottling plants and distribution centers and became a benchmark case study in local execution of global consumer brands.
In 1996, the Pepsi-Cola Venezuela operations were sold to The Coca-Cola Company.

TELCEL

In the early 1990s, PERENCA-related shareholders participated in the founding of TELCEL, Venezuela’s first mobile telecommunications operator. The company played a pioneering role in the introduction and expansion of cellular services nationwide.

TELCEL was sold to BellSouth in 2001, later becoming part of the Movistar / Telefónica platform. The transaction represented one of the most significant telecommunications exits in the country’s history.

Industrial, Automotive &

Heavy Equipment

Over several decades, PERENCA-related entities held representations and operating platforms associated with major international manufacturers, including:
   •    Toyota (vehicles and parts distribution)
   •    General Motors (Chevrolet)
   •    Mack Trucks (heavy-duty transportation and logistics)
   •    Kawasaki (motorcycles and industrial equipment)

How we partner

Perenca engages selectively with international partners seeking structured exposure to Venezuelan real assets and essential industries.

We prioritize relationships built around critical technology transfer, operational expertise, and long-term capital alignment — not commercial volume or short-term trading activity.

Governance Execution
All Perenca activities are conducted under strict governance standards, emphasizing counterparty due diligence, transparent structures, and disciplined execution aligned with applicable international regulatory frameworks.
